Laxmibai sees an untrained horse and in her fury, she climbs the horse and gallops away. She informs her humiliated father that the Indian patriots’ mistreatment by the British is far worse. Manu mounts her horse Pavan and returns to Bithur with a badly wounded Nana. Though Indu is barred from seeing her future husband by Vahini as it is believed to be inauspicious, she, Manu and all the female attendants of the peshwaship participate in a song-and-dance activity. In a dungeon, Manu sees the ghastly treatment meted out to Indian prisoners, including landlord Shyam Rao. She confronts British officials for violently mistreating natives though Vahini had told her that they are helpless British slaves.
However, as Manu attempts to make Indu meet her future spouse, they end up witnessing the arrival of King Gangadhar, who is en route to Kanpur for strategic and religious reasons. But Manu is heartbroken when Nana is chosen over her to ride an elephant. She tells Laxmibai to find another wife for Gangadhar who will give him an heir. Gangadhar finds Laxmibai and stops her. Laxmibai decides to expose Karma before the villagers, but Karma tells her that no one will believe her. At the age of fourteen, Manu, daughter of a Pandit, marries the King of Jhansi. An austere priest predicts a queenly future for Manu, which elates Moropant. As Tatya’s ‘dakshina’, an elated Peshwa allows Manu to join military practice in the ‘akhaada’.
Jhansi Ki Rani – Episodes Nana doesn’t return from his practice session with Manu. Laxmibai declares that she will find the treasure by the next morning, failing which she will end her life. But Manu bravely continues the contest, stunning all, including Tatya Dikshit.

To prove his words, Karma pretends to search Laxmibai’s hut, and finds a part of the treasure, which he had himself planted there. Nana asks them to fulfil their bet, but George refuses to do so. As Tatya Dixit lauds Manu’s exploits and says she is fit to become Jhansi’s queen epksode uttering her name, Gangadhar wrongly deems he is talking about Moti.

In Bithur, the Peshwa invites the locals to a feast to mark Indu’s coming marriage and flings precious items out of delight. Vahini takes Manu away from the mela to Sarsaiya Ghat though she is keen to punish the Britons for insulting Mmalikat Tope and an old man.
At the Peshwa’s ‘Brahmabhoj’ ceremony, Vadrayan urges other Hindu monks to abstain from eating the food and curses the Peshwa that he would lead a discredited life.
But Christina resolutely defends Manu and says that Manu’s heroism would have been lauded by British society.
Manson hopes that the sight of the brutalities in prison would weaken Manu to such an extent that she would reveal to him the technique of making her special explosive arrows. As Gangadhar distributes items for popular welfare prior to leaving for Kanpur to execute a religious vow, a epislde arrow pierces his chest. Later, the Peshwa urges Nana to toughen up psychologically and get inspired by Manu’s courage.
Gangadhar finds Laxmibai and stops her.
