Back to After Effects and loving it: The DNG files open just fine in photoshop. Maybe this is what you need? Then just render the whole composition as a new frame sequence, import that into PPro on a new track, and you’re good to go.

RAW might just end up slowing you down even more than a well-designed workflow with proxies would. This intermediate step, which can be done in any number of programs ranging from proprietary software like Sony’s RAW Viewer to more common programs like After Effects and DaVinci Resolve, usually requires a basic grade of the footage, as well as a time-consuming export to an edit-friendly codec such as ProRes or DNxHD.

Peemiere least you would have to do or should do most of your color correction using the raw import settings Note that unless its a different actual shot new DNG sequence ACR will treat each one the same which could be problematic or not matter at all, depending on the the composition of that shot. Right now, if you want fast scrubbing in Pr and you have the full CC subscription, my suggestion is to encode log mezzanines using After Effects which will read CinemaDNG or regular “still” DNG sequences just the same.
