This is not a story about the clashing of cultures, but about the reality of lives lovingly transformed from the inside out by the power of God’s Spirit.

The local farmers and other tribes warned him against trying to suummary the “wild” Motilones, as no one had ever returned from there alive. Though most Western Christians will never experience hardship such as this, the reader can somehow relate to a man who wanted nothing more than the glory of God.

Bruchko book review – David Joannes

Dummary Olson had accepted Christ as his savior in his teens. Bruce felt called to go to the mission field, but was rejected by the Missionary Associations because he did not have a degree in missions. Bruchk 28, Samuel Keller rated it it was amazing. Bbruchko was a situation in which when he was translating the bible summaey the native language that I normally would not have agreed with but I understand the language barrier and how he did what he felt God would have him to do!

This was a fascinating read of a man who did mission work in a very unconventional way. Alone in a foreign country, he meets people ploh a series of chances and summayr eventually taken into the jungle where he believes he encounters the tribe he seeks but later discovers that it was another tribe, the Yuko.

He begins attending an interdenominational church with his friend who describes a similar salvation experience to that of Bruce. Another inspiring Christian missionary story!

He went through so much physical discomfort to show people Jesus. It’s because of Jesus But the greatest message articulated in its entirety was that Jesus, the Son of the Living God, was the God of the Motilone Indians as He is for the Western world and for the missionary man himself. Although I was required to read this book, I would definetly read it again and reccomend this book to anyone interested in adventure.
