Changing alloys shouldn’t have done anything. The 5E20 fault is to do with the internal hydraulic pressure sensor in the ABS pump module that fails. Replacing the internal switch for another one will not permanently cure the problem as it will remain a manufacturing defective unit. It could have been anything small tbh, even just taking the pads out and then having to push the piston a tiny little bit to get the pads to fit in easily when refitting could have finished off the unit, unlikely but I wouldn’t write it off completely. There is a repair kit and I believe the price of a new one is heavily discounted as it’s a common issue now. Thanks againhopefully it will save changing it twice.
